Has anyone experienced this message before:
Fatal generic system error: InDesign process has stopped its launch
unexpectedly

I'm not sure what to do to fix it. Other documents are proofing fine.

I will not say I've never seen this message, but it was a while ago.

BTW, you did not provide too much information regarding your
configuration.
Can you specify:
* operating system version,
* InDesign Server version,
* uProduce version,
* how many instances you have got (SI, MI, MI4),
* how many servers you have got (a single one, a cluster), etc.
You said only one application runs into the problem while being
proofed. Is there something noticeable in this application? (embedded
PDF or EPS, unusual fonts, etc.).
Can you see related error messages in the Windows Event Viewer?

Here are more details on our server environment.

* operating system version : Windows 2003 SP2
* InDesign Server version: InDesign Server CS3 Version 5
* uProduce version: 4.0.3
* how many instances you have got (SI, MI, MI4): MI
* how many servers you have got (a single one, a cluster): 1

I'm not even able to proof the most basic of files now. I created a
CS3 InDesign Document that only has 3 ADORs on the page. Still getting
the same message. At a loss for what to do. Any ideas?

I was able to track down the problem in the InDesign Server logs. The
print spooler service was set to disabled. Once I enabled it, the
proofs started working. Here is a link to the knowledge base article:
