Hello everyone. I'm trying to setup a Visibility content object where if the layer name in my INDesign document contains a word in my database field it will be visible. Typically I can just make the layer names the same name as my Version fields and I only have one visibility content object, but in this case there is a Design Layer and a Merge Layer for 6 different versions.

For example: The version names are MED, A&S, WVT, RFH, HON, and MEDP

The layer names in my INDesign document are MED Merge, MED Design, WVT Merge, WVT Design, RFH Merge, RFH Design, HON Merge, HON Design, MEDP Merge, and MEDP Design.

What is the easiest way to edit the rule of my visibility content object?

Thank you,

I think you will need to create two VIS content objects - one to control the DESIGN layers and one for the MERGE layers.

The DESIGN VIS would equal "|->[VERSION] & " Design"" and the MERGE VIS would equal "|->[VERSION] & " Merge"".

Assign them to the relevant layers and should be good to go.

When driving layers, I prefer to minimize the number of Visibility ADORs by using Visibility++. Just add a pipe character between the layer names and you can drive as many layers as you need in InDesign within a single ADOR.

|->[VERSION] & " Design"
&"|"&
|->[VERSION] & " Merge"
