Hi,

We have a job that we run every year.

The artwork includes 20% and 30% off flashes, etc. When the discount is 0%, we place an EPS file with no image inside. This displays correctly in InDesign (via graphic ADOR), but once the job is run through uProduce to a PDF, it shows as a white box.

This worked correctly last year, but we’ve updated uProduce since then.

The only way I can get the PDF to display correctly now is to output as PostScript and then distill it.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

EPS files are very old technology, have no color management information. My suggestion is to convert it to an Illustrator file and try again. Transparency effects and EPS are definitely going to cause printing errors.
