Ustore Shipping prices for an order and not on every product

Sorry if this has been asked before.

Is there a way to apply a shipping cost to a order as a whole and not on every product?

I can't seem to find a way to not have a shipping cost for every product and not have it compound if multiple products are order in one order?

I can't seem to find anything in the help or here that indicates how to do this?

How do we implement this?

I've heard this request several times, but AFAIK, it is just a feature request at the moment.
If you're at the XUG conference in Dallas later this month, you will be able to ask the product manager and personally give him a "+1" :-)

Just seems like most ecommerce sites these days have the ability to have shipping cost tied to an order and not each product.

What are other people with uStore doing now?
 
Are other developers writing custom functionality to get around this?

We haven't upgrade to v12 yet, is this implemented any differently for B2C in the new version?

I am not sure if I am missing some detail here, but we use the Manual Shipping Option and only have one shipping cost per order, regardless of how many items are in the order. Admittedly, not being in the US we do not have the extra shipping options available to us (i.e. Fedex, etc). We then pad out the total item cost for the bigger articles to cover any extra shipping due to size/weight. Yes, we may lose a little on postage on some orders, but it averages out in the long run.

Hi Marty,

I'm in Australia, so using manual shipping also. How and where are you add the shipping cost per order. We have a few stores at the moment that are invoiced for shipping externally from ustore on an order basis. This isn't ideal though as the user can't see the total cost in the application.  I'm also trying to account for the possibility that especially with Kitting you could have wildly varying delivery cost involved depending on what is ordered.

Also in Aus here too!

In Store Setup, under Delivery Setting we have Manual Shipping checked. under Delivery Services we have our shipping method checked and have the shipping cost under the heading"Fixed Markup (AUD)". We created our own Shipping method under Presets / Delivery Services and the Delivery Provider option is "Manual Shipping".

For each product under Delivery Setup we have zero cost under the Pricing tab.

I think that is everything to get it working?
