Hi All,

Does anyone know if you can get the imposition module to create  2up A4 on Sra3 with bleed around the edges but no gutter through the middle (Dead splits)
I've tried changing the cut marks and bleeds in advanced but nothing seems to work.

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

I assume that you want to print the document as a booklet on your printer?

If this is the case, then I normally, process the document in XMPie on SRA4 sheet size 1 row 1 column with bleed, and then do the imposition on the rip.

Alternatively to using the RIP, there are other 3rd party imposition software that could do the trick eg Preps or Quite Imposing.

Also, if you have StoreFlow, it will come with Xerox FreeFlow core which also has an imposition module that could do the job.

Hi Couch,

The document is a 1pp letter in mailsort order and we print it out cut & stack, the bleed is just a solid colur at the foot so it needs to
bleed left, right and bottom but when it's 2 up on Sra3 it's easier for fininsing if you can make a single cut through the centre of the sheet.

Thanks

Yep. I understand the need for that. In this case what I normally do is the same as mentioned above. Process the job from XMPie imposed 1 row x 1 column on a larger sheet size with bleed turned on - then do the imposition on the RIP. Most RIPs have many more imposition features than XMPie. - The main thing is to get XMPie to create the output with the bleed so you can print 2-up without a gap between the two solid color blocks.
