uStore Customization - Examples?

Hi...

We are starting to customize our uStore skin, and are curious to see
what other XMPie customer have come up with in regards to their skins.

We are trying to figure out what can/cannot be done, the capabilities,
and would enjoy seeing what others have come up with (even in just a
design capability, not necessarily code capability)...

If you want, feel free to send any JPG screenshots... I think it'd be
neat to see what's been accomplished!

Have you seen XMPie's Marketplace - http://mp.xmpie.com - this is the
most "different" uStore I've seen...

I have been there, and it is definitely the most different that I have
seen. Since that is one of XMPie's own uStore sites though, I wonder
if they just totally customized all of the code on their end (since
they have the original developers anyhow), instead of going through
the normal uStore customization steps. It seems like the skins can be
customized so much before you have to find a seasoned developer to go
in and adjust things by hand. I kind of wanted to see what the regular
"Joe" XMPie customer has come up with, instead of what XMPie can do
themselves!

The marketplace is a standard uStore skin. no html customization or
other cheats. it's pure CSS work.
If you ask the support team they would be able to give you some
preliminary documentation on skin creation.
If you didn't download firebug or IE dev toolbar, i suggest you do so.
It will make your life easier when trying to change the skin.
I don't know if you'll need a programmer but at least get someone that
HTML and CSS is their bread and butter.

Wow! I am impressed with the Marketplace and that is was all
customized with CSS!

I am only the graphic designer working on these uStore skins, and even
though I know some CSS, I am definitely not enough to be considered a
CSS guru! We have a web developer here who is taking care of the
actual skin development for me, so I will check with him to make sure
he has that preliminary documentation on skin creation and if he's
willing to use firebug or IE toolbar.
