We have a client who provides their sales reps retail coupons to be given out. They provide us a spreadsheet which lists all the products/coupons available. There are roughly 300 coupons available and each one is in it's own single page PDF file.
The spreadsheet has the coupon name and then columns for each sales rep indicating how many of each coupon (if any) the rep needs. For example:
Rep 1 Rep 2
Product A 5 10
Product B 0 8
Product C 6 15
We need to somehow impose this or create a file per rep. The coupons happen to be 3.5 x 8.5 (so we would/could print 6 up). Ideally, I can have each rep so I can cut and stack. The challenge is the quantity is provided per PDF file.
Anyone have any suggestions? HP suggested we use the batching feature, but that seems lousy since it requires the quantities to be hand keyed and like I said there are 300 files with each rep ordering typically at least 125-150 of the files.
Who likes an imposition challenge? I've also tried to think about how to create a PDF with the various number of pages of each coupon based on the spreadsheet, but that almost seems more difficult.
