I have a position for you to help me with.  It is here in Chicago with Blue Cross Blue Shield the Association.  It is more of a senior level role.  Below is a copy of the job description.  This requires strong Java/J2EE skills with strong Loadrunner and WAS(Websphere) experience.  Even though the position reads like a heavy developer, it is not.  You need those skills but it is an engineer/performance position with heavy testing/Loadrunner skills.  Healthcare or BCBS experience is always helpful.  Please take a look and let me know who you might have.  This is a hot one too.

 

 Job Description:

 

This Performance Engineer will be part of a performance engineering team, working with other performance engineers with focus on server application performance. Work on multiple projects and help in performance tuning of software applications. Tasks will include design review, code review, performance analysis, performance test, load/stress test and maintain the environment for performance testing. They will create, review, update and execute LoadRunner scripts. The PE Engineer will write and maintain tools in JAVA and J2EE (coding experience) to analyze and identify the inefficiencies in the application. Additionally they will deploy / installing J2EE applications on multiple platforms and make configuration changes using the WAS Admin console.   Should be able to work on multiple projects and help in performance tuning of software applications.
•Experience writing tools in JAVA and J2EE (coding experience).
 •Be very analytical to identify the inefficiencies in the application using performance tools like JProbe or any other tool.
•Experience deploying / installing J2EE applications on multiple platforms.•Knowledgeable about making configuration changes using the WAS Admin console.
•Knowledgeable with monitoring tools like BMC Patrol
•Languages: Java2, UML Methodology, SQL, HTML, XML
•Web Development: J2EE Suites, AWT, Struts, Spring, Hibernate and JavaBeans, VB Script, JSF
•Should be familiar with Operating System, networking, SDLC concepts.
