Remember when SLIP was superseded by PPP? Remember searching for a
serial cable with "hardware flow control" so you could use the full
speed of your new 14.4K modem?

Xmission just took me on this stroll down memory lane when I changed my
password on their website. After I changed it, I was then given
instructions to change the password in my Internet connection software,
with these choices:

Windows 95
Macintosh with FreePPP
Macintosh with OT/PPP
Windows 3.x with PAP
Netscape Mail
IE Mail and Outlook Express
OS/2 PPP
OS/2 SLIP

Of course, now that I've pointed it out, they're going to change the
message, so change your password fast! You should be changing it every
few years anyhow.
