Last x.g post I see from me is Feb 2010, last post I see on x.g is Oct
2011. Just wondering of there are any geeks still around here...
I run a linux firewall, dhcp server, & name server on my home network.
For awhile now, name serving has often been really slow. I'm using
bind-9.8.3-P3. I see tons of this kind of message in the log:
"success resolving [some internet locaton] after reducing the advertised
EDNS UDP packet size to 512 octets"
I suspect this is related to slow name serving. Anyone else see this
kind of bind behavior?
