Hello all- I love xmind and have been trying it this week. However,
when I save a map it seems to take as much as 30-40s (Win vista
machine). Have tried restarting xmind with no effect. The mindmap
itself is very small in size (52 kb).
Any suggestions?

Hi

Any other people have this problem?

Sincerely!

Stephen

I'm experiencing the same - after a couple of editing operations not
too big .xmind takes very long time to save.
Running it on Win Server 2008.

Hi All

Are there any people meeting slowly saving a small map? (such as just some topics, relationships, boundary)

Sincerely!

I'm using v3.0.2 on XP (though just upgraded to v3.0.3), running only
XMIND and NO other programs when I timed and noticed a mind map of
237kb took 1 minute to save!

Are there attachments in your map? Are there any other people have this problem?

Hello,
I'm using XMind 3.0.3 (on WinVista and Win7) and I'm also experiencing
very slow saving/loading.
I takes a lot of seconds for small maps. True nightmare are larger
maps (hundreds of topics on several sheets), which take minutes to
save/load (while utilizing whole CPU capacity), even if the file is
only 300 KB in size. However, working with large loaded map is quite
fast, except when (un)folding some bigger branches.

Hi Stephen,

Same problem here. Small map, no attachments. Running the portable
version on XP (no admin rights at work).

Kind regards,
Thomas

do you use v3.0.3? The saving should not be slow if the map does not have too many attachments.

Sincerely!

Hi Stephen,

I do use v3.0.3 (portable version) on XP (Intel Core 2 CPU, T5500
1.66GHz, 2 GB RAM).

The map is about 140 K, no attachments.

Xmind takes about 30 s to start (with the said map). If I close the
map it takes about 7 s to load it again. It takes 20-25 s to save it.

Kind regards,
Thomas

Hi Stephen,

Some more information. Up to now I had both XMind and the mind map
saved on a shared drive. Saving them on a local drive signficantly
improves the performance (I'd say that saving the map probably took
around 5 s).

Kind regards,
Thomas
