Hi, I'm a new user to XMind from FreeMind. One thing that bother me a
lot is the ability to move around in the map with the keyboard only
and collapsing/extending branches.
I want to reproduce this Freemind behavior:
Spacebar toggle Extend or Collapse depending on the current state. It
doesn't make sense XMind doesn't have it. I can only use the shortcut
but I need 2 of them to do the task, and I also have to --think--
which one I should press which should be unnecessary. I want the same
behavior as click on the X at the beginning of a branch in XMind,
where it just does the inverse of the current state but with a
keyboard shortcut.

Any help or feature request possible ?

Thank you.

Hi Eric,

select a topic you want to expand and use the numeric keyboard keys
to:

expand all - use *
collapse all - use /
expand next level - +

I hope this helps!

Cheers,
Fernando

I was aware of these shortcut already but i don't understand why it
can just toggle, since we know it's close, using the collapse shortcut
won't do anything, it should reopen, or add a new possibility doing
it.

Hi Patrick

As I know, one shortcut in XMind can do one thing at present. So you should use "+" to expand the collapsed branch.
If you do not like this shortcut, you can change it at the preferences dialog.

Sincerely!

Stephen
