How can I move a branch without delinking?

I try to make a tree in xmind.
This works just fine but I have to use a lot of different branches with subbranches.
This makes for an extremely broad tree as all the same level branches are at exactly the same height.
How can I move a branch slightly downward as to limit the tree size but at the same time keep the branches linked to the other ones instead of making it an subbranch?
