I'm wondering, is it just me, or is XMind incapable of loading up
a .xmind file from a double-click in the Finder?

I spent a whole lot of time the other night creating a huge map, and
when I came back to it the next day, I thought it was lost because
when I clicked on the .xmind file in the Finder, the app started up
correctly, but the map it opened was just a blank map and not the one
I had spent hours working on.

This had me a little shocked, because it seems like such a ridiculous
bug. I couldn't imagine that this kind of bug would get through
testing ... so I figured I must be doing something wrong.

Fortunately, when I opened the file via the File | Open dialog, the
map was there and nothing was lost. However, it is pretty annoying to
have to open the app and then open the file manually each time.

Any clues?

I have complained about this for some time now - search this forum.

This used to work in version 3.0.0, but was broken in 3.0.1 and 3.0.2.

Stephen Zhu says that there are "open source" reasons for this
breakage. I have asked him repeatedly what those reasons are but he
has failed to answer.

In my mind it is a bug that needs fixing.
