Hello, I am explaining a step-by-step procedure, so I am using the
flowchart feature of XMind. I am basing it on the flowchart template
included with the software.

To create a new item in the flowchart, you double-click in the blank
area to create a floating topic, then use the line connector tool to
connect it to the previous topic.

When I do this, my new topic is in a generic font and is not
surrounded by the nice blue box that the previous topic had.

I can go into properties and change the font and size, change the
shape to rectangle and format it with the same blue shade by noting
the hexadecimal value of the other formatted topics, but is there an
easier way to do this? For example, is there a way to copy the
properties of a box with the formatting I want and apply it to the new
topic?

Thanks.

Hi Sir

You can design the theme after designing the font, size, color of the floating topic. One click the "extract theme" button in the theme view will extract the theme. Then you can apply this theme for all your new map.
You can also extract the topic style via clicking extract style button in style view. :)

Sincerely!

Stephen
