Hey there,

is there any way to export higher resolution mind maps from Xmind?

I need to create some mind maps in A3 size and for the text to be
clear [i.e. not look like a re-sized smaller image].
I want to incorporate them into my thesis, so they need to look print
quality

the jpeg export only comes out @ approx 136kb, pdf at 144kb and rtf @
136kb.

thanks for any ideas or help

Chris

Hi Chris

Are you using XMind Pro? If that, what about trying Mapshot(shortcut F7)?  Mapshot in XMind can let you select a big enough scale in theory.

The "new sheet from topic" command is great.

However, one of the benefits of Xmind (at least for me) is to find new connections between topics. Is there any way to draw a relationship link from a topic in a lower sheet to one in a higher sheet? (i.e. cross-sheet links)

Also, when drilling down, the relationship links from between levels do not appear. Is it possible to make them appear somehow when in a lower level topic?

Also, is it possible to effectively reverse the "new sheet from topic" and bring it back up into the main sheet again?

Hi Steve

As for bringing an individual sheet back to the main sheet, you can solve this by using "Topic link".
  1. Create a new topic in main sheet, and rename it
  2. Select this topic, and create a "topic link" to the central topic in another sheet (http://www.xmind.net/help/hyperlink.html)
  3. Go that sheet, select the central topic, and create a "topic link" to that topic in main sheet
  4. Now you can see the same effect with "New Sheet from Topic"

Sincerely!

Do you mean Create Relationship between sheets or to a topic in drilled down map? Why don't you use topic link directly? That will be easy and quick. :)

Sincerely!

Stephen,

Yes, I am referring to creating a relationship between sheets and drill-downs.

The topic link is fine, but that only provides *one* link, or relationship. I like to find and create additional relationships/links to other topics, and this can occur between sheets or into drill downs sometimes.

One type of feature that I would really like to suggest is a direct connection to JabRef (or any open bibliographic management system).

For example, drag and drop bibtex entries as topics, help find relationships between papers, etc...

Thanks,
Steve
