If one wants to think properly, he/she must be to a great degree individualistic. Nothing kiasu about that.
Meditation, e.g. is an individual effort absolutely. It is individualism that makes one realize self-responsiblty, not conformism of the mindless mob driven by a dogmatic creed.
It's the crowd and partisan followers hooked to peer approval that enables evil and make people blind.
