Hi,

We have been using the XLS2XLM template. It is excellent and saved use
a huge amount of time, thanks. A couple of questions.

1) How do we check to see if the geopoint field (gps field), has been
filled, basically if has not been I want the user to enter it
manually.
2) Can we use the new widget "Geopoint with map"?
3) Finally which site is the lastest http://xls2xform.opendatakit.org/
or http://xform.childcount.org/ for conversion to xform?

Thanks for the excellent work on this.

Gistin,

Great to hear you're finding the tool useful!

I've attached a sample file that should help show you how to do it.  Basically, you just need to add a bind:relevant=../gps='' to a latitude and longitude question just have the geopoint (GPS) question.

We haven't advertised it yet but we recommend you use www.formhub.org.  This has our most recent version of xls2xform.  It also provides a backend similar to aggregate where you can host and submit your forms too.  It also automatically maps out any surveys that have a geopoint in them.  Check it out.  The ODK site has a slightly different version of XLS2XForm.  We're working to get the two brought together but probably would recommend using the one on formhub.org for now.

Give it a shot and let us know if you have any problems.

Thanks,

Matt

This looks great, but I am a little confused. formhub seems to want a much simpler version of the forms than in http://xls2xform.opendatakit.org/ . I was hoping to be able to use the new features of ODK collect 1.1.7 (ie group and autocomplete). Am I missing something here? Thanks

We are working hard to get these aligned.  It's a top priority to add in the new widgets.
