Compatibility with HLS LIBS libraries

In the tutorial on using XLS[cc] channels, it is mentioned that it is possible to use the ac_datatypes in the code, does that mean I can ditch the __xls_channel completely and just use the ac_channel instead? Also, is the xlscc compatible with only the ac_datatypes of the HLS libraries or I can use the other ones too such ac_math?

this would be interesting to try. did you give it a chance? I'm in the process of building xls and this will be the first thing for me.
