Someone recently pointed out to me that readers of this group may be
interested in the book "Elements of Programming" (http://
www.elementsofprogramming.com) by Alexander Stepanov and Paul McJones.

The first chapter, in particular, talks about "concepts" in a way
that, I'm told, is relatively similar to mine. It's more
mathematically oriented, however.

Does any of this book focus on rewrite methods implementation?
I just ordered both Stepanov's books in paper, but maybe I should add another one on this theme?

No, I don’t think so. See http://elementsofprogramming.com/eop-concepts.pdf, notably the definition of “Transformation” in Chapter 2. Transformation is a function, operator, etc. It is specifically not a transformation on source code. In Concept Programming’s speak, everything they talk about is in the code space.
