My memories of Sudhir.......

During my stint in  Sewri in  the early 80's, my memories of Sudhir was - soft spoken, efficient, confident  project engineer (perhaps an unusual combination those days ).  

During lunch time, he seemed to break the 'protocol' and occupy the GFM / Factory Engineer /  Commercial manager table, which, to me, appeared a demonstration of his self confidence

I will always remember Sudhir as an affable peer.

He was a very nice and brave person and always helpful. But more he faced the disease very sportingly and big will power to recover. He was doing well till my last communication with him a month back. I was really shocked to hear this news thru a what's app message from Anita.

Sorry to share some sad news.

 

Mr. Sudhir Dhawan, a colleague passed away, a few days ago, in the USA, where he was undergoing some treatment. Sudhir and I were both based in Chandigarh, circa 1985-1987. He was a great colleague, a wonderful friend and a perfect gentleman.

 

His wife Anita, has sent the enclosed Prayer Meeting note.

Dear friends,

So sorry to hear of the sad demise of Sudhir. 

I wish to convey my heartfelt condolences to Anita and the family. Pray that God give them the strength to bear the loss.  

We rely on time the great healer to do the same. 

Though years have gone by since we last met I can vividly remember Sudhir . He was a very nice person and a very good engineer. He brings back memories of the great days we worked together in Bombay factory
