Recently I travelled in a 1st A/C coach from Chennai to Coimbatore. I noticed that the steps to climb to the upper berth was hazardous - there was no handle to hold while climbing (photo attached). I took a photo, detailed the hazard and lodged a formal complaint.
 I have now received a letter from the Southern Railways that they have provided SS handles in all the coupes.
I would attribute my action to HUL which imbibed safety consciousness  of self and others in my DNA.

Indeed, HLL taught us life lessons. 

When I read about Cyrus Mistry's accident, I remembered how HLL had insisted, as early as 2000, to compulsorily wear belts in the backseats too.
