Almost 2 years ago, our flights to Europe through BA were cancelled because of COVID. BA refused to refund us, instead issuing us vouchers we didn't ask for. It was a scam. Santosh, XLever bulldog lawyer, fought my case in the Consumer Courts and won it today. BA caved in and agreed to refund. However, having suffered in their hands for 2 years for no fault of ours, we have decided to fight for compensation, which we had demanded. This may go on for a while, and I am glad Santosh is on our side. Santosh may like to say more within the subjudice framework.
Perhaps a few morals. One to those who sympathised and advised me not to fight a Goliath. I am glad I did that with the help of David. Another, hopefully to other colonial corporations who think Indian law is easier to subvert. We are not suckers. Finally, to those who may be and may know others in similar straits, with BA and others, reach out to Santosh and get redressal.
Most importantly, I didn't know Santosh at Levers. He joined after my time. I connected with him over XLevers when I needed help. So, this is a kind of an update. Another moral, truly a final one, if you've ever been in Levers, join the mail group.
Thanks Santosh. cheers
