Have you ever found yourself in the following situations?

1. rewriting and paraphrasing paragraphs copied from past papers and grants
2. editing and rewriting manuscripts written by international collaborators or students
3. looking for sophisticated synonyms for a given word
4. struggling in writing perfect English (if English is not your native language)

Writing and rewriting papers can be a difficult and time-consuming process, something that we as researchers understand all too well. To help with this, we have created Writing Assistant, a new app designed to make the process easier. She is able to help you with:

1. changing simple words to more advanced synonyms (e.g. cheap to affordable)
2. rewriting and paraphrasing a given sentence(s) in professional English
3. converting sentence fragments (e.g. words and phrases) to full sentences
4. converting non-English text to professional English
5. correcting typos and grammar errors

Examples:

Before: fNIRS is better than fMRI because it's cheap and easy to carry.
After: fNIRS is more affordable and portable than fMRI, making it a more practical option.

Before: internet, too many opinions, conflict, no listen to each other, polarized
After: The internet has brought about a deluge of opinions, which has lead to increased conflict as people struggle to be heard. Instead of listening to each other, people have become polarized, only valuing opinions that confirm their own.

Before: 部分宋朝文人，经济，改革，过于激进
After: Some Song Dynasty literati advocated for reform, but their ideas were too radical for many people.
