This may have been done to death on the other list, but...
I'm NO expert on the mechanicals. But I attended a party on the weekend, thrown by a Suzuki
off-road owner (recently returned to motorcycling).
He has just replaced his (almost-new) front fork springs with stiffer ones, and put in heavier
oil. I was very surprised to hear from him that it cured his rough ride!
I'd have thought stiffer springs meant rougher ride, but no, he says they reduce the up/down
movement from bumps, giving a smoother ride.
Just thought I'd pass on this info, as it was news to me.
