新视角同性恋报道观察网络成立于2010年7月，旨在关注中国内地同性恋报道，促进媒体平等、客观、多元呈现性少数（LGBT）人群生存状态，加深大众对性少数人群的了解和认同，减少偏见发生，为LGBT组织提供媒体沟通能力培训，为媒体提供同性恋议题报道线索。
