I've been trying all the standalone emulators out (cant stand retroarch) and have been really impressed so far with all of them except one: epsxe. I'm used to playing all of my psx games on epsxe windows using Pete's opengl2 plug in, plus shaders at more/medium to smooth out the 2d and text. I expected that the android version would offer the exact same functionality like PPSSPPs android version is the exact same as the Windows version.
But ePSXe android is totally different to the windows version and nowhere near as good..it literally wont let you use shaders if you're using the openGL plug in! Why? Not to mention the OGL plugin is buggy as hell. I've noticed there is a hardware + shaders option but the selection of shaders is crap and the "hardware" option isnt impressive at all when it comes to 3D. I want to enhance the graphics, that's meant to be the whole point of epsxe. Is the buggy OGL plug in the only option for enhanced graphics? Any one know when more shaders will be added ie natural vision and when they will allow to combine these with the OGL plug in?
Hello, I've been using the android version of epsxe to play backups on my phone. For some reason, the gamepad I'm using, (8bitdo SN30 Pro+) the dpad isn't responding in the game. I can navigate epsxe's menu just fine with the dpad.
Hey all, as the title says the only file formats I can get to work are .iso's, nothing else (.bin etc). They won't show up in the 'run game' section on epsxe and when I search for the files through the emulators file browser and try to play them that way the emulator crashes. I tried looking on their site and it says it supports nearly all psx file formats but I think it might just mean for the epsxe windows version.
