sometime I end up running a command that requires further input, this does not work well within xsh and may hang. Sending a quit signal (C-g) get you out of the hang, but other command may hang afterward. To fix this, do (C-x C-r)

Use Ctrl+G to grab the command and run it back in your shell, instead of Ctrl+X to run it inline.
At the moment xsh isn't great for long-running commands, and doesn't handle commands that try to get input. There is a way to implement that though, which will probably happen at some point.
