how to install chinese input method on ubuntu 12.04?

I'm not sure, for I'm not an ubuntu user right now. But I believe you can always install new packages by using the command "apt-get", after the network is well configured as well as the source. For example, "sudo apt-get install fcitx" seems to be really easy to operate. 

Otherwise, as I can remember after a few years of not using ubuntu, in previously versions of the ubuntu distribution, simply setting up your preferred language and then perform a complete automatic upgrade may also help.

Try to google for your answer, it is helpful.

他的语言设置都是英文，我不确定我写中文他能不能显示啊。。

别听他们忽悠你，12.04默认就装了ibus，直接去设置里的language support之类的目录下找语言支持，有个选择输入法的地方，选择ibus。然后进ibus添加拼音就能用了

其实说实在的fcitx的配置也是一门学问啊……上次不小心把配置闹错了，难受了好久
