I originally sent this to the MetaLIB users group list and we have an open call with MetaLIB support on this… but we are not getting anywhere with them. It’s been down a couple of weeks.

 

I suspect the people on this list might have an answer. I’d appreciate any ideas…

Hello MetaLIB users:

 

We are experiencing errors in federated searching with our all of our Wilson databases. MetaLIB flashes the message “ The database is currently not available. Try again later” and returns this message “Resource/s returned an error.”  However, direct access to the databases is working.

 

Wilson has entered  the IP address of our Metalib server in their configuration. We’ve tested our YAZ client and found the connection to Wilson works. I’ve tried every combination of entries and usernames/passwords in the IRD that the vendor rep suggested. What is wrong?

 

Below is an example of the fields in our IRD for Omnifile FT Mega:

 

The Configuration Code is WILSON_OMNIFT .

Remove the http:// here. It should just be the host and port.

Sounds like your problem was solved.  May I ask, however, where you found the database code "OMNIFT"?  Is there a list of them somewhere for Wilson?
