[xerxes-portal] Access denied when saving databases

Hi,

I'm experiencing the issue described in the bug below. I've last updated my core Xerxes with the 1.8.1 tag and this thread indicates that the issue was resolved in 2009, but doesn't indicate how it was resolved.

Has anyone else experienced this recently? The exact issue is:

Begin logged out. From A-Z list select the detailed view of a database, click "save database." Follow prompt to login. The return url still reads the username as local@... so when you select the collection to save to and click next it presents the error:

You must be logged in as local@... to save to a
personal database collection owned by that user.

So before I go about trying to patch this, is there already a solution I've missed?
