  Hi friends , Kiruba Ganesan  our college alumni (2008 M.E computer science pass out) was diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia in March 2007.
Typically, targeted medications are used to manage this disease.

Unfortunately after trying successively more aggressive treatments, her doctors at Christian Medical College Hospital in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India have recommended a Bone Marrow Transplant procedure before the end of this year. she was able to find a donor with the matching type but cannot afford the cost of the surgery, Rs. 50,00,000.

Before being diagnosed she was the primary source of income for her family and was putting her younger brother through college. Her family is able to contribute Rs. 5,00,000 (appx. $11,000 U.S.) towards the surgery but are struggling to come up with the rest. She is only 27 years old and has already been through a lot. This surgery is her best chance for recovery and survival and a lack of money is the only thing stopping her.
