tech notes - google spreadsheets to google forms

I was mentioning about google spreadsheets lack of dropdown lists(feature requests listed at http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Google+Docs/thread?tid=2aaec1e3160530cb&hl=en ) on the WSDE listserv and Luis Bermudez suggested using google forms.

Discussing a bit with Charlton, the main limitation with using google forms is its a one-shot, record add/insert approach - there's not an update or delete of earlier entered records via forms, updates or deletes would be done directly at the spreadsheet level.
