[Xcsoar-user] XCSOAR V7.14 doesn't work on my Samsung Galaxy J5 (SM-J500H)

Hi to all,

 

I have updated to V7.14 version on my Samsung Galaxy J5.

I use this device only for xcsoar, without sim card.

 

After I have updated, when I push xcsoar button, appears first select page (FLY/SIM). I select “Fly” (but if i select “sim”, it’s the same) next appears main view for 1 second and then the app crashes.

 

Is there anyone that can could help me?

Can I install a previous revision of xcsoar?

The last one I have used was 7.10.

Hello,

I have the same problem as Massimo and version 7.14 crashes on startup on my Huawei T3, which I only use for XCSoar.

In addition, in version 7.13 the GPS time started to be off and never synchronised with the actual GPS time, in spite of having a GPS position fix and receiving several satellites.

As a temporary fix, I went back to version 7.12, which works fine for now, but it would be great to use the regular updates of XCSoar again, with correct GPS time and no crashes.

Great if someone can help and look into these issues.

also I have had the same problem about timestamp. All my log files are dated 1970 ….

How can install an older version of xcsoar on my device?

I’m a dummy …. 😊

Hello, xcsoar also crashes after update to 7.14 on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4..I tried reverting to the 7.13 but it also crashes at start..Any known issues?

Hello Massimo,

 

I used this webpage (https://xcsoar.en.aptoide.com/app), and downloaded the 7.12 version. I had to allow installing of non-certified providers, but thought that should be fine. Works all fine again for me, including GPS time.

 

Good luck!

 

Hope the next version 7.15 will have those fixes again. Seems like others also struggle with the crash and GPS time.
