WHAT:
Modern Objective-C Style
Objective-C is almost 30 years old. One nice side effect of the sudden explosion of interest in Objective-C is that Apple has been able to make significant improvements to the core of the language. LLVM and the Clang compiler has enabled tons of new features. Things like properties, blocks, and automatic reference counting mean that the Objective-C of today is a night and day improvement over the Objective-C of only a few years ago. As I have been coding using this new and improved Objective-C, I have found myself changing my style... taking advantage of these improvements to simplify my code.
We'll be discussing how to slim your code and make it easier to maintain using this new style.
We will also be discussing some major changes with regard to Cocoa Heads Phoenix. If you have an interest in the topics the group discusses and the meeting format and times, please make sure to attend!
