I'm a big fan of the Bracketron:
http://www.amazon.com/Bracketron-UFM-100BL-Nav-Mat-Friction-Dash/dp/B000U5TUWE/
Which I use with a gps or iOttie for iPhone
http://www.amazon.com/iOttie-HLCRIO102-Windshield-Dashboard-Universal/dp/B007FHX9OK/

Both are good deals at normal Amazon offered price, but my iOttie was on sale for $13.99
and I got one of my 4 Bracktrons for $11.58, others a little higher.

The Scion dash is well suited for dash mounts, which I prefer for adjustable viewing and ease of stashing under the seat without having to unstick the "steal me" mount.
