Resuming NSCoder Night

I'm happy to announce the revival of the Phoenix area NSCoder Night. Come, bring your laptop and your code and have a good time and helping and learning from your fellow NSDeveloper!

Sorry to be Mr. Poopiepants about this again, but wasn't this tried a year ago and abandoned due to it being located in Gilbert?

Not everybody lives in the east valley, and I would love to come and hang out, if it wasn't a 60 mile round trip from central Phoenix!

Well,

In the year since then, more of us have found that we live closer to Gilbert than other areas. If there's more interest, the location can be moved. For now, we're going to base it on those who will show up to get some momentum for this kind of thing.

I was put off by the last try also because the one time I went, no one was there. This time, I guarantee that there were will be at least a couple of us there.

Stop by, Liberty Market has some good wifi access, and the tunes are pretty groovy, the food and coffee are pretty good, and I always like talking to fellow NSDevelopers about code :)

In Phoenix, no matter where you put it, it's 60 miles round trip for
someone! I see people from Queen Creek attend meetings in Tempe and
Scottsdale and I personally used to drive ~20 miles after work to go
from downtown Phoenix to North-ish Scottsdale to attend Refresh
Phoenix, then drive home to Mesa afterward.

I'd recommend if you like the type of event, do what you can to get to
it. If enough of the attendees are coming from the same direction,
shift it that way. Relocate events to better accommodate people who
attend the events, not just based on email attendance! ;-)

If you determine the location by quality of coffee, Saul's definitely
nailed the right place. Liberty Market has the best coffee / espresso
around that I've tried -- of course it ought to be: Joe Johnston
(restaurant founder) is one of the original coffee-house tycoons of
Phoenix.

I was looking for a place where you weren't obligated to buy something
(forced or guilted) for wifi and that had a nice chill vibe for some
technical discussion.

Regardless, let's give it a try one more time. I just wanted to start
it up again since we don't really get a chance to share or help each
other with actual code that often.

I think the key to something like this being successful is this:

Saul is gonna be there thursday even if he's alone. I'll probably be
there too, but I think the key is, whoever sets it up pretty much says
"I'm gonna be here at this time, if you choose to come, do, if not, no
worries, I'll be there anyway coding." With that outlook, it's a no
pressure, no loss set up.

In order to do *that* the location needs to be close to whoever is
doing the sitting, and Liberty Market, for Saul, (and me) is.
