Hi X-Cats,

It was great seeing you all on Saturday.  Congrats, once again, to our seniors.  You have so much to be proud of.  I am thrilled that we were able to get together for some social distancing comradery; Saturday was a breath of fresh air for everyone.  Jan, I just want to say great job pulling this together, and thank you to everyone who pitched in.

In addition to surprising and congratulating our seniors, we also held secret raffles that several of our students won.  Kay pulled names out of a hat, and we were able to brighten the day for a few lucky winners.  While putting together X-Cats baskets, outside of doing this for fun, we realized that there may be some members who did not win the raffle, that have a need for some basic necessities.  If you are in this category, please make sure that your household knows that they can visit https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSedJp4tUiT5JmEjzeT18QNj0jMGkAjHRpBfGLotq9bgT1LAyQ/viewform once a month to get a free food basket.  I have seen pictures, and those baskets are packed with great non-perishable items and other staples.  Thank you to everyone that helped create and deliver our raffle baskets and thank you for the donations.

As a reminder, we are asking everyone to continue checking Slack at least once a week.  Look for an invite for another Zoom call in the coming weeks. We are keeping our fingers crossed that we will still have a picnic at the end of the summer.  In the meantime, school will be over for you all very soon.  You have lots of time to check in with your peers, mentors, and teachers just to say hello every now and then.
