X-Cats - The fight for equality

Hi X-Cats,

 

Jan and I have been talking a lot about the current events regarding the never-ending fight for equality, and trying to find ways to help our team and our community.  We brainstormed ideas and brought one to the leadership team - we agreed to host a roundtable and listening session on 9/16 at 5pm. 

 

Our roundtable will be moderated by Carlos Terrero, and we will have a few pre-selected discussions, followed by ample time for an open forum.  Between the pandemic, the fight for equality, the worldwide protests, the riots, Daniel Prude…there’s a lot going on.  Perhaps someone will hear something that resonates with them, find something that helps them later on down the road, or maybe this will be something that leads to tangible actions to spark change. Whatever it may be, at least it’s a start.

 

Who better to lead by example, than the FIRST Hall of Fame X-Cats?  We are proud of the fact that we are one of the most diverse and inclusive teams in FIRST.

This discussion will not be about robotics, it will not be about politics, and it will not be about school – this Wednesday’s discussion is about the fight for equality, and hopefully you will join us with open hearts and minds.
