Meet this year's co-hosts of the 12th Annual State of Our Children Address
Danette Campbell-Bell is the Senior Program Officer at the Greater Rochester Health Foundation. She is a highly skilled and sought-after youth development practitioner, consultant, trainer, instructor, coach, mentor and conference speaker. With over 25 years of experience in youth program management, she has a track record of success.
Additionally, she is the Principal Consultant and owner of Campbell-Bell Consulting, which offers services in program development and implementation, strategic planning & design, grant writing and leadership development.
Danette is also Managing Partner along with her brothers at Strings for Life, LLC and Project Founder of the award-winning Strings for Life Music Project, a collaborative youth-driven partnership with The Campbell Brothers that changes lives one guitar at a time. The program utilizes the “sacred steel” tradition to encourage creative expression, introducing youth and individuals to relatively obscure instruments while equipping them with skills to build their spirit, confidence and competence.
Danette is married to her wonderful husband, Walter Maurice Bell, of 20 years and they are the proud parents of Daniel Maurice Bell, their 10-year-old son.
Nazareth Miller is a sophomore at the University of Rochester pursuing a degree in Neuroscience. A proud graduate of Joseph C. Wilson High School, Nazareth graduated with high honors while excelling in International Baccalaureate (IB) classes. Upon graduating high school, Nazareth received the ASAR Leadership Award and was inducted into the National High Honors Society.
Throughout his academic journey, Nazareth has been deeply involved in extracurricular activities, including Robotics. He is also the founder of the Black Student Union, where he has developed a strong passion for community building and fostering meaningful connections. Always eager to learn and grow, Nazareth is committed to not only advancing in the field of neuroscience but also contributing to the growth of diverse and supportive communities both on and off campus. As a Youth Leadership Coalition leader, he is thankful for the opportunity to further serve and better his community.
