Hi Mentors!

 

I heard last night that some of you have been spreading the word about our shoe drive to your local circles.

 

Thought I’d share out the note I sent to Xerox people yesterday in case you want to drop any or all of this into your own messaging. Reminders are appreciated, as some people would like to donate but need a little prompting to get ‘er done.

Jackie or Kim,

 

It might be nice to revise and forward this out to Wilson staff, so I’ve included the Wilson flyer as an attachment.

 

We’re collecting shoes until the end of the year, so I’ll get notes like this out periodically between now and then.

 

Thanks for your support in making the shoe drive a success for the team.

 

Hope to see you tomorrow for our banding event – we have quite a stockpile of shoes to band and bag!

Hey there Webster Campus Residents!

 

What did you do with your extra hour on Sunday?

-          Sleep in?

-          Binge watch your favorite telly show?

-          Catch up on leaf clean-up (while looking up at the still un-fallen leaves, dreading another weekend of this)?

 

Well here’s what you could’ve done - and still can do – and you’ll still have time for one more episode!

 

     Grab a big bag, and dig out those NEVER-WORN NEW AND GENTLY USED SHOES from the back of your closet!

….and your kids’ closets

.…and your partner’s closet

….and the attic

….and the basement

….and the back porch

….and anywhere else they might be lurking – you get the idea!

 

The GOOD NEWS?! It’s not too late!

 

So go bag up those shoes and deposit ‘em in any of the boxes at the webster campus building entrances.

 

THEN GO BACK TO SLEEP – the rest of those leaves can wait!
