xbox 360 wireless connection fails after update

hi everyone,

i got a wireless adapter for my xbox yesterday and i was setting it up and it seemed to run perfectly the first time but after running the xbox live test it told me to update which i did then it rebooted and now i cant get it to work, can anyone help?
