How to run xig in linux /etc/rc.local

I have problem running 

"nohup python xig/src/gui/xig_app.py --no-browser > /tmp/xig.log 2>&1 &"

Because the library/python module cannot be imported when you run the script in another directory (must run in "src" directory so you can successfully import all the modules)

Is there any easy/simple way to run "xig_app.py" script in root folder or in a cronjob? i.e. run the script from another directory other than "src"?
