How to communicate from arduino to laptop using xbee-arduino and xbee-python?

Hello,

I have two xbee modules. A router is connected to an arduino, and a coordinator is connected to my laptop. I am using the xbee-arduino and xbee-python libraries respectively. I am able to send a message from my laptop module to the arduino module, yet I cannot do the reverse. Anyone have tips for this?
