I've created a sensor network and use the unique 16-bit address from the S2 Xbees to uniquely identify them at the coordinator.  This has been reliable for months, but lately one sensor has been switching its address, usually after a power cycle.

I'm thinking there is something setup on the Xbee's firmware that allows this.  Is anyone aware of such a setting.

Thanks!

Reading the Xbee manual, it seems pretty clear that trying to use the 16-bit address as static ID was a bad idea.  I'm switching to the 64-bit.

Does anyone have a bit of code that polls the NODE_IDENTIFIER?
