Hi all,
I have a few questions about the multiple sediment fractions and the
way they are input in params.txt
Looking at the proof of concept in the last 2 pages of the
Xbeach_manual.pdf,

I see that there are 2 classes defined
If I count correctly from Figure6.1 - each class has 19 sed. class
layers

one of my questions is how to define the class 1 sediment between X=
offshore- 800m and class 2 between 800m - the back of the grid ?

the other question is about: "The sand on the barrier island is
mostly vegetated which mitigates the erosion. Hence this sand has been
given a mobility
restriction that makes it more difficult to pick-up by means of a
reduction factor of 0.25 on
the equilibrium concentration."

is this sedcal ? and how can I set this reduction factor for different
classes ?

thanks in advance

Same question here. Can someone answer this thread please? I want to know how to set the 'mobility restriction' for different classes as well. A working case would be great. Thanks.

Hi,

The discussion on XBeach moved to the oss.deltares.nl website:

You’ll likely get more feedback there.

Cheers,

Fedor
