Dear colleague,
During the Delft Software Days 2011, Deltares offers a XBeach Basic and Advanced Course on Friday November 4th.
In the course, theory sections are alternated by hands-on sessions. The morning session will be the same for both the basic course and advanced course. In the afternoon, we will split. Participants of the basic course will work on a set of cases prepared by the XBeach group. In the advanced course, participants bring their own modelling case, which they can discuss with the course teachers. It's highly recommended that participants bring a laptop.

- Introduction to XBeach, including model philosophy, model formulations and standard applications
- Advanced functionality including application of hard structures, ground water flow, tracers and output options
- Stationary (recovery) simulations: considerations and examples
