Losing edits with Event Actions

Howdy,

I just made an event action that adds something to log.event().tags for selected events. It seems to work fine, except that all the edits I've made to the log since it was last open disappear. For example, when I run the action all events I've deleted since opening the log reappear. Also, any tags I've added using the "Tags" field in the Event palette disappear.

I suspect that the manner in which I acquire the log, "get_library_logs", is the problem. It is apparently copying the version of the log on the hard drive, and is ignoring changes not yet written to the log. How can I get a copy of the log which includes all the edits made since the log was last opened?
