Minutes of the SXCCAA North East Chapter Committee members meeting held on 2nd February, 2020.

Hello Xaverians,

Season's greetings and a happy new year.

On 2nd of February , 2020 , we held our first meeting of the alumni for the year 2020. 

Committee Members present:

 

1. Mr Jaswinder Singh

2. Mr Asad  Ahmed

3. Mr Sourav Chowdhury 

4. Mr Sanjay Bajpai

5. Ms Pooja Sutodiya - Convenor

Minutes of the Committee members  meeting held on 2nd February, 2020.

1. Meeting called to order.

2. Greetings to the members present, acknowledgement for their attendance to all meetings held till date by the chapter.

3. Discussion on our Chapter's vision to build St Xavier's College, in the North East India. 

4. Exploring the Chapter 's Vision of opening a full fledged college in keeping with number of colleges already in guwahati vs Opening a much focused Centre of Education and Incubation, in keeping with times of tomorrow and the much needed State-of -the-Art Centre for students and other selected individuals and team to work on select projects.

5. Chapter to decide upon starting Social responsibility of providing literacy to underprivileged children by hiring a small room in a decided location and volunteering every week as per a roaster.

6. Proposal to call a meeting with Rev Father Dominic and committee members of SXCCAA  to discuss the Vision of our Chapters.

7. Total Registration amount in treasury and completion of all member's registration from SXCCAA North East.

8. College has been written to provide list of recent Alumi and Alumnae to College from North East.

9. An all member Chapter's meet to discuss the Chapter's Vision and Mission to be then worked upon meticulously under the guidance of the SXCCAA.

10. Formal and informal meets of members of the Chapter to be honoured by all.

Meeting concluded.

Looking forward to many such fruitful meetings and beginning of good work by Xaverians of the North East Chapter.

We first need to give the money receipts to all who had paid up for membership. All details are with Sanjay. 

Let us atleast get this straightened out before we venture out with other plans.

I would like to take the opportunity of Congratulating all the active alumni members for your efforts and wonderful initiative of reactivating the North East Chapter of SXCCAA. Our Best wishes are with you all to take this forward towards the vision and mission of our alma mater.

In further accordance with the initiative, I will propose an official visit of the President of our Association & Principal of St. Xavier's College (Autonomous) Kolkata Rev. Fr. Dominic Savio SJ for the first time after formally assuming the chair, sometime during the summer vacation after 15th May 2020. So, if you can arrange a Chapter Meet of North East Chapter of SXCCAA at Guwahati  during that time, then our President Father will be glad to grace and bless the gathering along with some active members of our Association - make the core committee members of the chapter better aligned with the vision of our College.

Kindly note that the travelling and staying expenses of our visit will be taken care from our end.

You will be expected to suggest a suitable date & time as per convenience of the active members of North East chapter for the meet. The confirmation of the date will be taken from Father President upon getting your suggestions, the logistics and travel details from our side will be given to you subsequently.

Dear Jayanta Uncle,

As we Xaverians of NE chapter, met after a very long time on the 2nd of Febraury. The matter was taken up and discussed as mentioned in the minutes of the meeting.

Have asked Sanjay uncle our chapter's  treasurer to give us the due details of the membership few collected and names of members registered. Membership receipt must follow the same as rightly mentioned by your good self.

We  must keep working in all front and resolve any issue that comes along simultaneously in my opinion, hope the receipts gets received soon, we shall call a meeting soon again.

Dear Pooja,

Thank you for your email and taking up the issue for giving receipts for all those Xaverians who had paid for the membership.

As you are aware I was very active when you started this few years back and to get it going I took a active role  

to increase membership. Whoever was approached responded positively by filling up the form and they paid up for their membership 

which I handed over Sanjay Bajpai. Though I brought up the matter of giving the receipts in earlier meeting, nothing happened.

Hope you can get it done before your next meeting.
