[xauth] What about SPAM?

I don't want to share my Gmail address with most web-sites I visit.
They will send me junk-mail or worse, sell my email address.

I can see sharing some identity that does not include email (but
allows some interactions with my social group).

For example, people who know my meebo ID can't use it to send me email
SPAM. Does Google need to create a 'handle' for things like groups and
xauth which cannot be used for email?

XAuth doesn't share your email address with anyone (unless your email provider decides to make that information available on your behalf).

The only thing that providers like Google currently store with XAuth is that you're signed in to Google and have an active session. No more, no less. 

It'd be very hard to send you an email with that information!
